We were a party of 6 and it was our first experience at an escape room. The first hiccup was figuring out how to gain access into the building. Luckily someone walking by knew the access code and opened the door for us. I guess I must have missed something in the confirmation email but it was off-putting standing there without a clue. The next hiccup for me personally was how sparsely decorated the rooms were; I guess I expected it to look like the on-line games. But walking into a room with just a chair and some stuff painted on the walls gave me the impression that it was going to be "cheesy" but, it wasn't. The game was well developed and provided a good degree of difficulty. Some clues we stumbled upon by mistake and others we either worked on as a group or someone figured it out. The attendants also did a good job of keeping you on task with the clues they provided. He said we were in the 30-something percentile of participants to successfully escape. The last hiccup was surprising to me for a couple of reasons; there were no props at the end for the photo op. I've seen photos of groups holding "We did it" or "Better luck next time" and other such signs on Social Media and they didn't have any. And, I also thought they were missing out on an opportunity for free advertising. With multiple people in our group and if each of us post to Social Media how much fun it was, boom... free advertising! But, they missed out on that one. Or at least in October 2017 they did.

Finding the location of the business in their building can be tricky, but once you find it, it's totally worthwhile! The escape room is very well-made and you can tell a lot of thought went into making it. It is high-tech and interactive. Totally doable with just 2 people but also fun with more!

About OutIn60

What can guests expect at OutIn60? Well, it's right there in the name. Players are escorted to a themed room, the doors lock behind them, and they have only 60 minutes to figure out how to escape. It's a game of strategy and wits, with participants expected to use teamwork and puzzle-solving skills to triumph. Read on to learn about the exciting room-escape scenarios available here:

  • Pyramid: You and your team of archaeologists are the first living humans inside this pyramid in 8,000 years—and after you're trapped inside, you just might be the last ones as well. Unless you can solve the puzzle in time, that is.

  • Insane Asylum: Working at an insane asylum has its challenges—especially if the patients are given the wrong meds and begin to riot. If you and your coworkers follow the mysterious instructions left by a former patient, you might just have a chance of escaping the pandemonium.

  • Power Station: The nuclear power plant where you work security is on lockdown after a violent, mysterious murder takes place on the premises. Now it's up to you to solve it—if only you didn't also have to contend with a rebellious maintenance robot out to cause a meltdown.
