Jake transitioned into massage therapy after having a four-year career doing personal, small and large group fitness training. He expanded his knowledge of the body by becoming a licensed Exercise and Holistic Lifestyle Coach through the CHEK Institute. He became a massage therapist in 2017, specializing in therapeutic/deep tissue work. His passion is healing in a holistic way, incorporating his training experience into consultations with his massage clients. He is also trained in the use of trauma and tension releasing exercises (TRE.)

About Somatic Arts Massage
Somatic Arts Massage aims to soothe the body and mind with regenerative bodywork treatments. Cassie Newlin, the studio's chief therapist, views massage as a unique art form that focuses on how tension within the body changes in response to touch. Her treatments help patrons get rid of stress and chronic muscle aches, combining Swedish and deep-tissue techniques with cupping and hot stones. In her spare time, Cassie puts her artistic talents to use by crafting aromatherapy bracelets, home-made incense, and other accessories that can help clients create a soothing and relaxing environment at home.
