About SouthBay Hustle
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition? Whether you want to introduce your pee wee to his/her first sport, or help your established athlete get a college scholarship, we're here to help you succeed. Our complete program includes:
- Fundamental training with JR NBA Coaches
- Position-specific strategy and BIG Man training sessions during camp
- Focus on teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Ball handling drills
- Personal mentoring based on athlete's stated goals
What was the inspiration to start or run this business? AAU and Basketball Camps are usually very expensive- We wanted to offer competitive basketball training and travel ball at a cost everyone can afford! This is why we are a non-profit club.
What do you love most about your job? The fact we have the ability to keep teams together long term and offer the programs to families and kids who may not have been able to play in the past due to other club high fees and lack of scholarships. We have mothers and fathers thanking us all the time for what we do for our community, the fact we have given out $20,000 in scholarships in our community in our first year alone says it all... We are here for the kids, not for the profit.
What is the best reaction you've ever gotten from a customer? Our favorite reaction was a mom telling us her student went from 1.7 GPA to all B's in the next term. How...Why... because with our program he fell in love with basketball and wanted to play next year for his school team!"
