The Deal

  • $39 for admission for one child to a Parents’ Night Out New Year’s Eve party ($60 Value)

On Wednesday, December 31, parents who have plans for New Year’s can drop off their kids at Swing-A-Round Fun Town for a supervised children’s party. Kids aged 5–13 must be dropped off between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m., then picked up at 2 a.m. Until midnight, guests will play arcade games using provided tokens, dance to music, complete arts and crafts, and snack on pizza, cookies, and juice.

Kids count down to 12 a.m. while decked out in provided party hats and noisemakers; when 2015 begins, 700 balloons—filled with prizes, no less—will drop from the ceiling. Afterward, party-goers will watch a movie, so kids should bring a sleeping bag, pillow, and blankets to snuggle in.

Swing-A-Round Fun Town

Interactive bumper cars, 80 arcade games, and the tubes, tunnels, and slides of a soft playground all nestle within the 12,000-square-foot Swing-A-Round Fun Town facility in Fenton. Outside, waterfalls and fountains surround three professionally designed outdoor mini golf courses, and a mammoth pond accommodates 15 colliding bumper boats. The fun continues at the kiddie kart track for youngsters 3–8 years old or the more than 1,100-foot adult track, where kids can join a parent in a double-seat go-kart whose second steering wheel allows tykes to pretend drive and practice ignoring hitchhikers. Elsewhere, nine batting cages test players' homerun hitting skills with softball slow and fast pitches or baseballs flung at 35–80 mph.
