About The Fig Tree
The Fig Tree injects elegance into modern American cuisine with a seasonally rotating menu hailed as "unbelievably creative" by the Jersey Journal. This culinary creativity is grounded largely in locally produced ingredients. The menu changes frequently to reflect the seasons, but popular dishes have included roasted pork tenderloin with sweet-sausage stuffing and crispy branzino with orange-braised fennel. Servers can recommend a glass of wine or a specialty cocktail from the drink menu.
The restaurant's garden-level space shares the menu's sense of classical refinement. Surrounded by crystal chandeliers, ornate wall sconces, and rich oak-plank flooring, diners may feel they've walked down a few steps into the early 20th century. This ambiance helped The Fig Tree earn a spot on CBS New York's list of the Best Romantic Restaurants in Hoboken and Jersey City. Guests can settle in at the white Italian marble–topped bar, beside the main dining section's open fireplace, or at one of the back tables, which grant visitors a view of the verdant courtyard garden through three sets of french doors.
