The 6-mile obstacle race takes place on Saturday, August 30. Participants—who must be 18 or older—get an entry into the after party, and a beer once they get there (for participants 21 and older). Heats begin at 8:30 a.m., and start at regular intervals until 10:30 a.m. Friends and family of competitors can watch for free, though parking is not included and they must sign a waiver. For more information, see the race FAQs.
The Freeze Obstacle Race
The designers of The Freeze Obstacle Race don't let icy weather get in the way of an extreme endurance race. Participants kick off the 4–5-mile course regardless of the temperature, encountering over 25 obstacles such as hills, monkey bars, tire carries, and walls on their way across the rugged and often muddy Oregon terrain. The toughness of the race requires entrants to be in good shape, but competitors who think one loop is too easy can opt to complete two passes during a Double Loop Challenge, or as many laps as they can over the course of ten hours during the Max Out Challenge.
