The work itself was impeccable and refreshed my 2013 Infiniti from its tough life as a daily driver and repeated car wash tunnels. All of the swirls and oxidation was gone and my metallic white paint was truly pearl and not yellow. The interior smelled fresh and was free of dust.
Though I'm unsure of what I got at the end, it sounds like it was a hybrid between the Platinum and Gold Package based on my appointment setting with Gil and Nick. At the very least, I got a wash, door jamb clean, clay, one-step polish, and some paint sealant/wax for the exterior, interior wipe down and dressed, carpet shampoo, and glass cleaning.
Setting an appointment was reasonably easy via their website. I chose to go for the Boston location in case I wanted to return home via public transport. Both Gil and Nick had clarified that the work would take 6 hours and that if I went to Boston, the parking cost would be included in the detailing fee.
I was excited for the idea of my car looking years younger, however, the magic fell apart on the day of due to lack of communication. I was told to come on Sunday 6/13 at 8AM; however, no employee was on site until 8:45-9AM and I was told by Sara on the phone to drop off to parking employees who asked for my car and contact information. Even more, it was weird that I got a call from Nick to get my GroupOn sent to his number, rather than in person.
Wanting to have a walkthrough of what would be done (like what any detailer would do), I decided to come back when the detailer arrived to better understand what I paid for, though I kind of struggled to pull that information at that point as well due to a possible language barrier.
I decided to spend time with my family all morning in Back Bay, expecting to get a phone call letting me know my car was ready around 2pm. However, nobody ever called and I decided to return to the garage at 2:45PM to find out that the car was finished 2:20PM. Furthermore, I ended up having to pay for my parking fee (the parking desk said the detailer never pays for the fees since it's separate - I understood this to be for regular office people on weekdays personally).
I hoped to be able to meeting the detailer to thank him for his time, check over the work together (some residue from the carpet shampoo or trim dressing needed to be buffed off my shift knob, otherwise it was perfect), and tip him just as a thank you for treating my car well. I also hoped to know what products were used so I can extend the paint sealant life properly. It's a shame that if I made no attempt to return earlier in the morning, I would have not met the person working on my car at all!
Thankfully, texting Nick (who originally thought I was another client named James) got me reimbursed for my parking fee, though he never addressed the lack of communication from beginning to end of the actual detail. I hope this isn't the norm (I suspect the Boston location works differently as they're kind of a weird hybrid/mobile situation) so while I can't recommend going to Boston based on my experience, I would encourage people to try the Stoneham location as they are the main site. They seem to do great work (especially as a Ceramic Pro Site) and seem to express just the right buzzwords to hint that they know what they're doing.
Sara and Gil have amazing, positive personalities. Great customer service! The car came out great! Platinum package, full detail in and out.
You can drop off your car in the evening if you are too busy during the day too! Also, the work can be done regardless of weather...
