In life, there are few things better than pulling the arm of a slot machine, watching the wheels spin their mad dance, and hearing the klaxons that signal a big, fat jackpot. In fact, the only thing that might rank higher is "doing that exact thing, except on a cruise ship." That dream becomes reality at Blue Horizon Casino Cruises, where players live the lives of Vegas-style gamblers aboard a well-appointed cruise ship. After taking on passengers in Palm Beach, the ship heads to international waters, where players can partake in games ranging from slots and bingo to craps, roulette, and blackjack. The gaming isn't the only facet of Vegas found aboard Blue Horizon's cruises; guests can also hit the buffet at Rebecca's Grille, grab tapas-style bites at K.T. & Jessie's Place, or revel in live music at Deck Three's lounge.

This is a unique super premium gourmet FUSION blend of gelato/frozen custard/and ice cream. Flavors include Maple Nut, Banana, Chocolate, Strawberry, Cookies & Cream & Vanilla.
What is one of your most popular offerings? How is it prepared?
Our home made ice cream is slow churned in a bucket with rock salt and ice (just like grandma used to do). We use premium ingredients and do not whip a lot of air into the mixture so it's a denser and richer product (like gelato) use a custard base (like frozen custard). It's like no other!
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
The only complaints I've gotten over the years as a mobile concessionaire is that I did not have a stationary location where people could find me when they were craving my unique ice cream. Now that problem is solved!
What do you love most about your job?
I love it when people who are much older than I am taste my ice cream and say it's the best they've ever had. I tell them it's because I don't cut corners or take shortcuts. I believe in doing it right the first time. I am not interested in selling the most, I am interested in selling Only The Best!
The aromas of warming butter and sugar have called to mind the Heitzman legacy since 1891, when Jacob Heitzman baked and iced his first cake. It didn't take long for his airy desserts to build a fan base, one that grew each time the bakery added to the menu with new items, such as butter kuchen and strawberry whipped-cream cake.
Today, a full-scale deli joins the original baked goods at the Heitzman Traditional Bakery and Deli. On the sweet side of the shop, spice cakes burst with raisins, pecans, and fresh jam, protected from poking fingers by a caramel coating. Fresh-made pies, signature butter kuchens, and loaf cakes teem with fruits and nuts, and specialty cakes come in classic variations such as german chocolate and red velvet. The deli satisfies savory teeth with kettle-boiled bagels from Dooley's Bagels, as well as a selection of fresh soups and sandwiches. Salads bring together morsels of chicken, tuna, and fruit cut by hand, and catering trays carry turkey and ham dinners, box lunches, and casseroles to family meetings and business sing-alongs.
One of the more inexpensive bakeries in Louisville, guests of Calat's won't break the bank for a good meal and pleasant experience. Whether you are heading there for the good quality, lightning-fast service, or both, you are sure to leave this restaurant with a smile on your face.
There's no specific recommended attire, so feel free to dress casually and comfortably. Also, though the prices are considered to be lower than average, you aren't going to sacrifice any quality. In fact, you should be able to enjoy a good meal for $11 or $12, and can probably get in and out for $8 if you try.
If you need food provided for a local event, take advantage of its catering options.
Specializing in lunch, Calat's is a terrific choice when you're in the mood for Asian cuisine and want to break away from the typical Chinese or Japanese fare. Don't worry about trying to find a spot on the street, as visitors to the restaurant do have access to a private parking lot nearby.
