They roll the thread back and forth across the hair, trapping it in the thread's fibrous clutches and removing it from the follicle. This ancient Eastern technique causes less irritation than waxing, can target individual hairs, and won't remove the surface layer of skin. At several locations, the techs top off their newly smooth masterpieces with henna tattoos, decorating limbs and trunks with ornate, temporary designs or cursive reminders to work on your penmanship.
