Zumba with Katie Groves

When Katie Groves headed to Marian University to study religious education and Spanish, she didn't leave her 17 years of dance experience behind. Instead, she decided to share her love of dance and fitness with others in her own Zumba classes. The junior in college cranks up thumping beats to set a dance-party tone for her energetic classes, which don't require dance experience or a set of glow sticks for fingers. Students of all fitness levels can follow her easy-to-follow choreography, as she clearly demonstrates the Latin-inspired moves and aerobic routines, which tone bodies and boost cardiovascular health.

In addition to dreaming up with fun events, such as a country-themed Zumba class, Katie has put her twinkle toes to work hosting a fundraiser for an animal rescue and sanctuary.
