Having opened in 1923, The Community House is likely older than many of its patrons, yet gives the area a central gatheringplace for social and timely events for all ages. As a nonprofit community center, it not only offers activities for kids like dance classes, but also educational programming for adults. Classes offered include everything from art and yoga to financial planning and healthy eating habits, with more than 1,000 sessions available each year. The center fosters a sense of community among its students and especially strives to support low-income and at-risk patrons.
