The Splattered Platter Pottery Studio, Middletown

“There’s something for everybody here and if there isn’t, we’ll make it.”

With Lisa Little's approach to DIY art, as she tells Middletown Journal, no one gets left out at one of her pottery-painting parties. Visitors to The Splattered Platter are treated to Lisa's diverse ceramic collection, which includes more than 500 decorative and functional pieces—including bowls, plates, and figurines—with each matte-white porcelain surface awaiting decoration. 

The decorating tools are all-inclusive as well. Crayons accommodate younger hands, and paintbrushes on canvases suit the finer motor skills of older artists. These seasoned crafters can also drop in for Lisa's in-depth project classes, which tackle trickier subjects, such as topping a wrought-iron table in mosaic or knitting leg warmers for a millipede.
