More than 40 years ago, Harry J. Hoenselaar opened The HoneyBaked Ham Company's first location in Michigan. Following a recipe all his own, he cured the finest bone-in ham in a secret marinade before smoking it over a blend of hardwood chips and slathering it with a sweet glaze. The company has since grown to include more than 400 retail locations, mainly due to the popularity of its uniquely prepared ham, which fills sandwiches, tops buffet trays, and serves as a centerpiece at holiday parties. The company also creates deli-sandwich boxed lunches, which can be bought in bulk for events or enjoyed in-person at one of many store locations.
