it seems like a place to drink, not a place to socialize or go on a date- or even go for dinner. it's just not my type of restaurant

Smokey bar type atmosphere and food left something to be desired. Wouldn't go back or recommend even for take out.

I will never go back. It was overpoweringly smoky. I ordered and stood in the parking lot until our food was ready to take out, although we had originally intended to eat there.

I sent this email that day to the email address on their website, no reply as of yet. I attached a picture of the bartender on her cell phone, as that's how we saw her almost the entire time we were there. From: Paula Reid Sent: Thursday, February 14, 2013 1:01 PM To: 'tylernavarres@hotmail.com' Subject: Lunch today A coworker and I came to lunch today, and we were totally not impressed. I had a Groupon to redeem that was about to expire…otherwise, we would have left before ordering. When we got there, the cook was waiting tables/tending bar. He took our drink orders, brought them, apologized that the bartender hadn’t shown up yet. A few minutes later, she arrived….and the picture attached is pretty much all we saw the rest of our visit. The cook came back, saw we were being ignored (the bartender never once spoke to us, acknowledged our presence, offered to refill our drinks), and took our food order. Then he served our burgers. When we finished eating, the bartender was still walking all around us, on her cell phone, and we couldn’t get her attention. The cook came back out, and we asked him if we could pay. He said something to the bartender, and she brought us our check, we paid. We totally feel that our tip should NOT go to the bartender….my friend paid the balance after the Groupon, and wrote “cook” on the top of the receipt next to server. The burgers and fries were great. Your cook was great. But your bartender needs a lesson in customer service. Also, you really need to do something about the ventilation. Being a bar and grill, we expected to smell some cigarette smoke, but even to someone who isn’t really bothered by cigarette smoke, it was incredibly bad….and we only saw one lit cigarette (smoke by the bartender) while we were there. We had to get out the Febreze when we got back to work.

It was very dark in the bar. The bartender was more interested in talking to her ex-boyfriend than taking care of customers. She was telling everybody her life story. The place needs a bar rescue.

bar and grill accurately describes this establishment. Not exactly sleezy, but is for a certain clientel, mainly late night drinkers. ok, but not for my taste.

The restaurant was very smokey and dark. The food was very average, nothing too great about it.

From Our Editors

Stacked mugs scatter light onto the robin's-egg-blue walls. Downturned wineglasses vibrate to the pulse of an Internet jukebox. All of the vessels at Tyler Navarre's Bar and Grill beg to meet in a treble chorus of toasts over the pool table, where patrons two-hand quarter-pound burgers or spicy po boys. Crispy appetizers segue into a menu of deep-fried shrimp or boneless wings washed down with beer, mixed drinks, or the velvet candy of a sweet tea. After head bobbing to occasional live entertainment or performing karaoke numbers to practice for the testy British judges stuck in their showers, patrons are encouraged to bust cork in weekly darts tournaments.
