Shipshewana Corn Maze, Shipshewana

As a tourist destination, Shipshewana was already renowned for its collections of historical murals, shops, and restaurants. Now, the vacation hot spot can add one more family-friendly attraction to its resume: a fall corn maze. More than five miles of trails snake through the town's maze, which sprawls across 13 acres of land and features a dozen different checkpoints associated with local businesses. Viewed from an airplane or the head of a pet giraffe, the maze's true scope takes shape; its trails zig and zag to form pictures of a tractor, a horse and buggy, and the town's name. Before or after taking on the maze's challenges, visitors can explore the property's other activities, including hay rides, a pumpkin patch, corn hole, giant checkers, a corn cannon, and a human hamster track.
