I wanted a straight forward download, no subscription, not Cloud-based and NO AI, and that appears to be what I have. And with a more than $100 savings over other reliable-looking purchase options I could find. That's the 5 stars.
It is important to follow all directions, including uninstalling any other variation of MS Office on you computer. It looks like one needs to enter the product code provided in their email twice. It took all of about 20 minutes from start to finish (most of that time the downloading). If you're not comfortable with feeling your way through those steps, then it would be more like a 4-stars... Get someone to help.
Now I can just go directly to what I need -- Word -- with one click, and no "How can I help you?" chatbox, and other circuitous steps that my other Cloud-based option was going to entail.
