What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
We specialize in non-invasive weight and exercise resistant fat loss treatments. One of our most popular treatments, Electro-slim, a treatment that gets rid of adipose fat and builds muscle, this treatment is not available at any spa in a 50 mile radius. We do Laser Lipo and Ultrasonic Cavitation with RF which both work on exercise resistant adipose fat. We’ve also teamed up with Dr. Jared Mallalieu from the Laser Center of Maryland to do facial injectable treatments once a month at our location. As part of our growth and desire to become the best spa in Maryland we hired an incredible esthetician with over 25 years in the field who also is licensed Massage Therapist. We’ve also brought on one of the top permanent make-up artist in the state who specializes in eyebrow tattoos. We also offer free consultations where we identify problem areas and recommend which treatments would best address those areas.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
I started off as a client several years ago. I would drop my children off at St. Mary's High school and go to the spa for my treatments. After a few weeks there was an opening for a technician. I worked my way up to patient coordinator and after 6-8 months I was essentially running the business. I often thought if I am running it I should try to either open my own practice or try to buy this one as I was confident I could do it.
When the old owner decided to go back to teaching she offered to sell me the Spa, my dream came true. I immediately bought her out because I realized the enormous potential with a competent and professional work staff and marketing of the business. The first couple of months was challenging due to the inherited negative feedback on social media and on-line review sites under previous ownership. Since taking over in August 2015 we have gotten all positive feedback and reviews and will continue to provide the quality service our clients deserve.
