The story of Bantam Bagels has been told many times, as both the press and the public have been fawning over the shop's reinvented bagel treats since the opening of the first location. The idea for the bite-sized, filled bagel balls came to co-owner Nick Oleksak while he slept, making them the tastiest idea that ever came from a dream since Einstein's Theory of Relativity cookies. Crispy and chewy, the mini-bagels—or "Bantams"—come stuffed with artisan cream cheeses and butters that add ease to mobile munching, with unique flavors such as The Hangover (cheddar cheese and egg bagel filled with bacon cheddar cream cheese and a drizzle of maple syrup) and French Toast (cinnamon nutmeg egg bagel filled with a buttery maple syrupy cream cheese). The selection may make it hard to choose, but luckily the treats' small size makes it easy to sample several—a notion that Today endorsed, calling the variety, "great for eliminating the sweet-versus-salty breakfast conundrum."
