What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
We focus on the holistic viewpoint of basketball by introducing the participants to Yoga, Pilates, Nutrition Knowledge, Speech Etiquette instruction, as well as our program stream lines education throughout the entire summer via an innovative game called Scholastic Game Time.
What is the experience customers can expect?
The Big and Little Skills Academy will build participants intrinsic values, such as self-esteem, leadership, responsibility, accountability, sportsmanship and peer relations. We are also very focused on making sure education is a big part of our summer curriculum.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
The Big and Little Skills Academy came about through seeing a need to educate youth on the importance of understanding the basketball is a mind, body and spirit game. We are interested in changing the prospective of an athlete; helping them to understand how important it is to take care of your body
What do you love most about your job?
There are so many different things that the Big and Little Skills Academy provide, but the most important one I love most is seeing the growth of our participants. We enjoy knowing our tutelage is creating a new way of looking at being a basketball player for our participants.
