A Chat with Bliss Yoga
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
Bliss Yoga is a peaceful, supportive studio that offers Prenatal Yoga twice a week: Tuesdays and Sundays at 5:00 PM. We have on-site childcare for most classes, and we also have kids yoga, and Baby & Me for moms to get back in shape after pregnancy while bonding with their little ones.
Exercise is challenging. How do you keep clients motivated and engaged?
Our highly trained instructors offer gentle guidance and encouragement to help you move safely and to find the yoga posture and variation that is right for you and your baby, depending on which stage of pregnancy you are in. We make yoga accessible to all bodies and fitness levels.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
Yoga is perfect for pregnancy: it prevents and relieves back pain, it improves digestion, it reduces stress and makes mothers happier and more peaceful. It’s good for babies, too–their development is improved when mom is happy and healthy. Plus, moms who do yoga have easier labor and childbirth.
What do you love most about your job?
Sharing simple tools to feel better and be happier is the best part of teaching yoga. We create a space that students can relax and feel nourished in, but we also teach them useful skills that can improve every aspect of their lives, from physical health, to emotional well-being and relationships.
At Bliss Yoga, Zoë Sipes and a team of certified yoga teachers help students build a solid connection between the body and mind as they boost flexibility and strength through yoga. Pupils mend sore muscles and aching spines with yoga for back pain sessions, calm racing minds with restorative classes, and promote long-term healthy exercise with yoga classes for infants, toddlers, and kids. Bliss Yoga also offers free, on-site childcare during classes.
