At the Home Building & Remodeling Expo 2016, 275 representatives from top professional exhibitors cover every aspect of building upkeep - from basic services to high-end building construction. Among some of the best-known local and national veterans to the show, things are kept fresh with selected new companies and displays. The expo takes place on January 16th and 17th from 10am-5pm at the Lake County Fairgrounds. Free parking is available with food and refreshments for sale in the nearby cafeteria.

At both days of the show from 12-1pm, the charismatic Kelly Edwards will be demonstrating brand new products that will be unveiled by vendors at the show. Chicago-native Ms. Edwards, current host of “DIY House Call” on the Design Network and of HGTV and Style network fame, is known for repurposing everyday items into wonderful collectibles. Her approach takes many aspects into consideration, including budget restraints and accessible design. Kelly aligns with the Home Building & Remodeling Expo’s goal of teaching homeowners to make smart renovation and investment decisions. Attendees can purchase copies of Kelly’s new book, Design Cookbook: Recipes for a Stylish Home, as well as enter a giveaway to win one of three autographed copies.
