The Learn to Boulder class teaches beginners the fundamentals of bouldering, including how to manage risk.
The popular Learn the Ropes class teaches climbing fundamentals, including how to fit a harness, tie knots, and manage the ropes for your climbing partner. After completing the class, students have facility and temporary belay access the remainder of their visit. With this option, Groupon holders get two hours of instruction, a day pass and gear rental on the day of the class, and an extra/FREE day pass and gear rental that’s valid for up to two weeks after class completion to achieve your belay check certification card
The Learn to Fall class, the most basic of the classes, teaches climbers the fundamentals of both bouldering and climbing.
With every purchase, guests receive a 15-minute facility tour and climbing orientation. This includes an introductory climbing lesson, auto-belay certification (when available), and an explanation of risk management.
Brooklyn Boulders is a far cry from a typical rock gym. Though the 25,000-square-foot facility does feature towering rock walls with marked routes and harnesses, its capabilities go far beyond climbing pursuits. Brooklyn Boulders celebrates community with both recurring and new events: member Breakfast Clubs, community competitions, food truck rallies, group volunteering, DJ sets, a fitness/cross fit space, and daily yoga classes are just a few among many.
