Q&A with the Director
Exercise is challenging, and people frequently give up on their fitness routines. How do you keep clients motivated?
We will keep our clients motivated through a variety of yoga and fitness class offerings. This variety allows clients to work out when it is most convenient to their schedule and reduces the likelihood of barriers related to time, work and other life demands. At GetFit@Cube Hub we focus on the outcomes of fitness and the reduction of stress so that our clients understand the positive impacts of this commitment of their everyday life and work. Our instructors are informed and inspired by these principles as well. They are a key motivating factor for clients and as a community is built within our programs, clients motivate and inspire one another.
Do you believe in the maxim, "No pain, no gain”? Why or why not?
No, we don’t like that term. Our whole concept is stress management to reduce the stress in our everyday life so we want the fitness or yoga to be relaxing and fun. We also work with certified instructors who understand that there is a difference between pushing one's self past a current limit to achieve results vs. pain as a symptom of excessive exertion.
What is the biggest mistake you see people make when trying to get fit on their own?
Lack of support or accountability and various excuses.

_POUND is a full-body cardio jam session, combining light resistance with constant simulated drumming.
