A Chat with Expressions in Rhythm Studio
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
Chances are if you have attended an event in the Triangle within the past year, Expressions in Rhythm Studio has performed there. We build artists and dancers with purpose through health and wellness in Raleigh. Our studio has the love for the arts with a dedication to serving the community.
What's one tip for first-time students that will make them feel like veterans?
Whether you're 2 or 82 years old, first-time students always feel welcomed and comfortable at Expressions in Rhythm Studio. Our instructors have over 30 years of combined experience, and our Ballet Instructor is a member of the Carolina Ballet!
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
Investing in our community and a deepened social responsibility. We don't confine our program to four walls. Instructors visit local Girl Scout troops and teach demonstration classes in Djembe Drumming, African, Ballet, Contemporary, Creative Movement, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Liturgical, Modern, and Tap.
What do you love most about your job?
Seeing our students in their performances! From Holiday Express at Pullen Park, to the African American Dance Ensemble’s Kwanzafest, to local Christmas parades, we believe that our students benefit from performing multiple times throughout our performance season before our annual recital in June.
