At Fred Astaire Dance Studios our goal is to enrich lives physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially, through the positive and transforming power of dance. Whether you are a beginner or already a seasoned ballroom dancer, we can assure you that our staff will do their very best to bring out your best dancing you can do. While you are learning you will be associated with other students in a whole new fun, educational, and social atmosphere. No experience or partner is required.
The unique Fred Astaire teaching method includes regularly scheduled private instruction, as well as group technique lessons. Private instruction with one or more key instructors provides each student with the specialized and personalized attention necessary to develop the ability to lead or follow a partner.
Group lessons are an important complement to private instruction as they help students to incorporate patterns, technique, and styles to their dancing. Most importantly, group lessons give students the opportunity to meet others with similar dancing goals. In order to provide an ideal atmosphere to practice with teachers and other students, parties and practice sessions are held in all Fred Astaire Dance Studios on a weekly basis for current students. Music, refreshments, and a night full of fun is included.
Fred Astaire Dance Studios first opened in New York City in 1947 on the famous Park Avenue. Today, Fred Astaire Dance Studios are located around the globe. Those who carry the tradename are greatly proud to do so and are held to the highest standards of excellence in the dance industry. We are committed to upholding the admired reputation of Fred Astaire in everything we do; from the moment you walk through our door until the moment you leave as a better dancer.
