Dew Tour Ocean City Beach Championship
The Dew Tour returns to Ocean City for a weekend of grinds, grabs, flips, and spills. As the first event in a cross-country series that includes a city stop in San Francisco and a mountain stop in Breckenridge, the beach championship will rev up fans with high-flying action on ramps and courses built alongside the Atlantic Ocean. Finally emptied of its last bits of cereal, the concrete skate bowl will buzz with competition as Pedro Barros fights for his third-straight Dew Tour title against a stacked field that includes Baltimore native Bucky Lasek. Skating icons, including Steve Caballero and Christian Hosoi, will also drop into the bowl for a Legends competition.<p>
Chasing after his ninth-straight Dew Tour BMX vert title, living legend Jamie Bestwick will duel with Chad Kagy and Steve McCann in order to court the judges’ favor. Elsewhere, the rider-designed BMX Park course will whir with competition of its own. In addition to the regular tour events, the Ocean City championship will also feature “Battle at the Beach” sessions. During these jam-style contests, some of the world’s best street skaters and riders will attempt to one up one another by soaring down a 10-stair rail and successfully evading bumbling mall security guards.
