What You’ll Do
As you walk into Decatur Glassblowing, a human-sized robot with a red glass belly greets you at the door. From there, Nathan Nardi or one of his fellow instructors will lead you into the studio, where you’ll get to see a small sample of his work, much of which is for sale. The instructor introduces the group to essential glassblowing tools and demonstrates the process before you get to blow your own glass ornament in your choice of colors.

Design a Decoration
Nathan or one of his fellow instructors will help each person blow a holiday ornament in colors of their choice.
Take Your Ornament Home
You can pick the ornament up the next day or arrange for it to be mailed for an additional charge.
Owner of Decatur Glassblowing
When it comes to the creative process, Nathan Nardi isn’t one to slave away in isolation. The artist surrounds himself in inspiration—namely his assistants and fellow craftsmen at Decatur Glassblowing, where the walls twinkle with colorful glass that’s both decorative and functional. Throughout the year, Nathan hosts live demonstrations, music performances, and classes to pass on the creative spark that he first discovered more than a dozen years ago.
