A Chat with Higher Expectations Dog Training & Behavior Modification (HEX)
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
Our mission is to advance responsible dog ownership through training, education, and rescue. We have been able to make changes where others have not because of our outside-the-box creativity, progressive thinking, open-mindedness, team approach, talented dog trainers, and commitment to education.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
As the founder and president of the New England Bully Breed Club (now merged w Full Bulls), Cassie specializes in pit bulls and other bully breeds, and over-reactivity as an issue. Kim has fostered over 15 dogs personally, and specializes in in-home training, rescued dogs, and integrative family training.
What do you love most about your job?
As the owners of HEX (and seven rescued dogs) in Massachusetts, we are so grateful to live, dream, and breathe that passion through Higher Expectations Dog Training & Behavior Modification every day. The impact we make on not only the dogs well-being, but the balance within the family is priceless.
What is the best reaction you’ve ever gotten from a customer?
A client of ours said not only did we save the dog’s life (was thinking of re-homing the dog or even putting him to sleep before HEX arrived) but we saved their marriage because [figuring out] what to do with the dog was causing so much turmoil in the home.
