About A Chat with Lake Country Martial Arts

What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
Lake Country Martial Arts offers private and group classes for students ages 4 to adult in taekwondo, hapkido, jiu jitsu, and escrima/kali. Our leadership focus based upon respect, teamwork, perseverance, and discipline, encourage students of all ages to excel both physically and mentally.

What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
Having personally experienced the benefits of martial arts in their own lives, co-owners Ian Jensen and Shannon Duval saw the need to bring a education rather than sales focused martial arts school to the Lake Country Area.

What do you love most about your job?
Seeing students meet and exceed their personal goals. Every journey to black belt is different based on a students strengths and challenges. Watching their progress and supporting them in setting new goals is deeply rewarding.

What is the best reaction you've ever gotten from a customer?
Many families come to our school because they have experienced problems with bullying. Hearing that their child now feels confident in school and enjoys learning again is something we hear often and always feels great.
