About Orange County Scalp Micro
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
A lot of people struggle with thinning hair. We offer a new hair loss solution called Scalp Micro Pigmentation (SMP) that can recreate the appearance of a full natural hairline to turn back the hand of time so you can look and feel your best. Our mission is to offer the most natural hair loss solution for men and women suffering from baldness, thinning hair, surgical scars and alopecia. SMP is simply the use of very small dots of pigment impressed just below the surface of the skin to give the natural look of a fuller head of hair or to replicate the look of a shaven head with a full hairline. The procedure can take anywhere between 1-4 sessions to complete the desired look and is dependent on the coverage needed.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
Having 24 years of experience cutting hair as a barber, I have seen my fair share of men try different products to conceal bald, thining, or receded areas. I found out about Scalp Micro Pigmentation 8 years ago, but I didn’t see any results that looked natural. I could tell immediately that it looked like a tattoo. Fast forward 7 years and I stumbled across a company that was consistently performing great work. It wasn’t until then, that I realized SMP was a service that could provide the natural, non-detectable results that people would love. I immediately reached out to the company and sought their training. I would say that it was my barber eye and my passion for helping people look and feel their very best that led me down the path to becoming a scalp micro technician.
What do you love most about your job?
The thing I love most about being a scalp micro technician is guiding my clients along the hair restoration process and giving them a new look and attitude that exudes confidence.
What is the best reaction you've ever gotten from a customer?
Client’s are usually anxious to see what they look like after each session. The reaction that I see and enjoy the most is when they look into the mirror and can’t help but smile like a little kid. It makes me feel good to see that I have impacted someone in a profound way. The appreciation is whole heartedly felt as they shake my hand and thank me. It’s a joy to see a new attitude emerge. My favorite reaction is when a client named Al looked into the mirror with a huge smile and said “Mortimer! We’re Back!” (A scene where The Duke brothers from Trading Places did a cameo in the movie Coming To America).
