A Chat with Prestige Pets @ Gaston Farm
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
We strive to make every experience educational and enjoyable. We understand that each student learns at a different pace and learning cannot be rushed. Our students are our future. We teach students to set realistic goals, not to reach to far ahead. And we coach and support them every step of the way.
What’s one tip for first-time students that will make them feel like veterans?
Coming prepared always make an instructor smile! Students must wear long pants and hard soled boots. Sneakers and shorts are not permitted for safety reasons. Spectators must wear closed-toed and heeled shoes also for safety purposes. Water bottle are always a good idea and of coarse bring your best smile!
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
It is a gift to see a student change before your eyes. Some learn to jump the moon or simply to just overcome simple obstacles. Horses are a therapy to some, both mentally and physically, and this process is amazing to see. Teaching and riding start in the heart, set reasonable goals and strive!
What do you love most about your job?
The smile on a students face, young or old. The words of happy students, “I had a great lesson, thanks coach!” The bond that forms between human and equine and the growth they show together. Students that learn to walk with six feet and speak without words! The time spent with students is rewarding!
