About Prevent Cancer Foundation 5K Run/Walk
Since its founding more than 30 years ago, the Prevent Cancer Foundation has lived up to its name by focusing its attention on ways to stop root causes of cancer rather than looking for a magic-bullet cure. Their work encompasses education initiatives, fundraising efforts, and groundbreaking research to support uncovering the best measures for ways to prevent the disease. The Foundation has invested more than $138 million in its mission, much raised through community engagement in fun runs, fantasy football leagues and speed gaming tournaments. Their efforts are illustrated in their Guides to Preventable Cancers, which are published all over the world.
