About This Deal
Duration: 5-week project based session of 2-hour classes once a week
- Class size: 8-10 kids (12 max)
- Available skill levels: Beginner 1 and 2, Intermediate
- For kids grades K-8
- Classes run Monday–Friday from 4 p.m.–8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m.–6 p.m.
Dash and Dot Course
Dash and Dot are robots that can sense, act and think. Students use block coding to control their robots, use accessories to make robots perform various activities, such as drawing, playing music, or playing games. The durable and child-friendly robots are a safe and easy way to encourage STEAM learning. The program, tailored to the age group, can help each kid explore the world of Robotics and get an understanding of sequencing and flowcharting. This is a good first step to Robotics.
Lego Mindstorms Course
This program helps students develop essential skills such as creativity, critical thinking, team collaboration, and more. It’s designed to give every child the opportunity to explore and learn complex concepts while playing with robots.
The BBC Micro:bit can inspire every kid to create their best digital future, build robots using the Micro:bit code, and perform challenges. The program had a huge success during camp this past summer. Kids loved to do complex projects with the easiness of Micro:bit.
About Robotics Tech Club
The mission of Robotics Tech Club is to develop the creativity and love of learning adventure in robotics and technology in each kid attending the program. They have fun while working. It's a fast-growing kids club that offers the Robotics and Technology classes for children grades K-8. There are three age groups and three Robotics programs based on the age-ability of the kids. The main focus is on building robots and performing the missions and challenges to implement and train robotics skills. Small groups of max of 12 kids allow the instructor to pay extra attention to each student. Each student in class works with own robotic kit on individual and group projects.
There is also a competitive Lego Robotics Team in the Club—this is a great opportunity for kids with deep knowledge of Lego Mindstorms to compete against other teams worldwide. Robotics Tech Club also organizes camps and can host birthday parties on Sundays.
