About Snohomish Cider Festival
Much like the craft-beer industry, the craft-hard-cider industry is experiencing a boom, offering so much more than syrupy-sweet drinks. The Snohomish Cider Festival celebrates all of the new craft drinks with samples poured from Pacific Northwest cider makers. Here's a look at some of the vendors at the fest:
Elemental Hard Cider: The cider makers here craft effervescent drinks that bring to mind champagne. They use Northwest apples and cold ferment their brews to help preserve the fruit. In addition to classic apple ciders, they create an Elemental Helium pear cider, Elemental Hydrogen grapefruit cider, and Elemental jalapeño lime cilantro seasonal cider.
One Tree Hard Cider: This Spokane cidery supplies people in Washington, Idaho, and Montana with its creative concoctions, including a caramel-cinnamon cider that tastes like apple pie and the ultimate summer cider, lemon-basil.
Spire Mountain Ciders: Spire was founded in the 1980s, making it one of the oldest premium cider brands in America. It has had plenty of time to perfect the flavors in such drinks as the award-winning red-apple cider and sparkling pear cider.
