About Spellman Museum of Stamps & Postal History

Spellman Museum of Stamps & Postal History opened in 1963 and one of the major stamp museums in the country which provides guests of all ages with an opportunity to learn about the history of the Postal Service and see an extensive collection of stamps. The history of the museum dated back to 1921, when Cardinal Spellman discovered a fascinating world of stamps thanks to the seminarian Lawrence Killian. This is when he started to use stamps as souvenirs and collecting them. A few decades later, the Spellman Museum was open.
