The family-friendly haunted maze winds through the woods and is more than a quarter-mile long. Parents with young kids should consider that some people consider SpookTrail to be an extreme haunt.
The maze is open September 25 and 26 and October 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17, 23, 24, 29, 30, and 31. SpookTrail encourages visitors to bring canned-food donations for both people and pets.
Screams carom around a stretch of woods containing Alabama's SpookTrail, a haunted trail that's been horrifying visitors since 1989. The outdoor maze unspools across more than a quarter-mile of woodsy terrain and doesn't even open until darkness falls. The darkness blots out a lot, but there's enough light to reveal the deserted junkyard landscape and its population of rotting cars, bones, and half-dead creatures waiting to pop out from behind a crumbling structure and hand visitors some physics homework
On Friday and Saturday nights until midnight, SpookTrail's Boneyard Grill dishes out slow-smoked barbecue and burgers.
