The Reserve was amazing. While on the tour we were feet away from Lions, Tigers, Wolves and several other animals. All of the animals are rescued and have found an obviously loving forever home. We watched a lion being hand fed and panthers nuzzling a care taker. Our tour guide Marti was engaging and incredibly knowledgeable at the end she got all of the wolves to howl in response Wow!

I purchased this tour for my husbands birthday. We are making it a family affair so I had to go on website and purchase 3 additional tickets. Ms Debra was so quick to respond to my emails on each one I sent taking care of my questions immediately. We are so excited to go and see these beautiful big cats and their habitat.

I took my 7yo daughter. There were only 14 people in our tour. The tour was excellent. My daughter (who is in a cast for a broken ankle) was able to ride on the golf cart yet was still able to see all of the animals. It was a feeding day. It was really exciting to see these animals react to feedings. All seem very healthy, happy and well cared for. The staff are all volunteers and so caring!

I felt that the group was a little too big, not everyone was in front of the animals being talked about because the group was in my opinion slightly too large. Also there were people not wearing masks and we should be social distancing.

Wonderful experience. An outstanding facility with likely the most diverse collection of animals I’ve ever seen at one location. Very highly recommended.

Had a wonderful time with my family. All the animals are stunning and love their zoo keepers. Everyone there loves what they do, you can tell by the way they talk to guest and treat the animals. I do hope they expand and can have even bigger cages for these majestic animals!

About St. Augustine Wild Reserve

The St. Augustine Wild Reserve was founded to provide a home for unwanted and abused exotic animals. The center will not refuse any exotic animal, and will provide top-quality care for all animals throughout their lives at the sanctuary. In most cases, animals will remain at the Reserve for the remainder of their lives. Our educational objective is to create in the general public a respect for all animals in the hope that an informed and enlightened public will allow the peaceful coexistence of man and nature. We work closely with Florida Fish and Wildlife, and take in various exotic animals in need of a permanent home. Tours are offered 4 days a week by appointment.
