Embassy Suites Columbus-Airport

Labor Day Weekend I love staying at the Embassy, they offer so much to it's customers. The evening reception was great, the restaurant was great and affordable. Even though the pool was out of order for the first night they had the neighboring hotel let their hotel customers use theirs.

Disappointing Stayed here because of the excellent reviews and the reputation of Embassy Suites. However, the experience was not up to par. . We arrived. The parking lot was being repaved but there didn't seem to be much coordination happening and cars were winding across the parking lot. Trying to find spaces that didn't exist. We had to park along a curb and then go in before we were told we could just leave our car there. When we got upstairs we found that there was some mold in the shower along the grout lines and the shower head and the bathroom smelled like bleach. Unfortunately the hotel was full and they could not move us. Maybe they were having a stressful evening but staff was very short with us about this. As we took out the pull-out couch and got our kids ready for bed, we realized there was no extra blanket in the room. We called downstairs and were told that we would have to come down and get it ourselves because housekeeping leaves before 10:00 p.m. (seriously, what hotel doesn't keep an extra blanket in the room for a pull out couch?) Thankfully there were two of us, otherwise we would have had to leave our small children in the room by themselves to go get the blanket. Once we got everything settled, the bed was very comfortable and clean and everybody slept well. Housekeeping seemed good for general cleaning. Breakfast is limited other than a omelette bar. Overall, everything just feels a little bit worn. I would hope that the hotel would invest some necessary improvements, at which point I would consider staying again on my next time through.

Great Place To Stay! Clean. Great Breakfast. Seven minutes from the airport. We have been staying at this hotel for years. We put on a special event once a year. The management sees to it that our rooms are available for often needed early check in. Our request for a quiet floor has always been accommodated. The rooms are clean. The breakfast is awesome, though usually very crowded on the weekends so get there early for seating. The staff is stellar. When booking, check to see if there are any family reunions, larger groups, conventions....it can be quite crowded and noisy with all the little kids, and disrespectful youth. They run around the place like crazy. This I attribute to a parent fail, not teaching your people respectful manners. We continue to book this hotel every year, very nice digs. It's about 3 miles from the airport. Pet friendly.

Very relaxing hotel. This was my first stop on a 2 week road trip to Calumet, OK. Everything about this place was just great! The food, the reception drinks, the rooms and the personnel. I felt so relaxed, I could have stayed another night. I highly recommend this hotel!

Was MORE than satisfied........ So, we were wanting to come to Columbus for a night and usually stay downtown. The weekend we chose, most of the hotels were either sold out or ridiculously overpriced, even more than usual. After googling distance and such from hotels to where i wanted to be, i came across the airport Embassy Suites. I was nervous about airport hotels that are so close to the airport, (noise factor),but the pictures looked great, and it would be a short uber ride downtown. I have to say from check in, the nightly reception, the restaurant, every staff member we encountered was AMAZING! The staff was helpful w/o being bothersome. The main area was impressive and CLEAN. I picked my room online before arrival, but had to check in the old fashion was because at some point when i arrived, the hilton honors app had crashed and i couldnt use my digital key. It did start to work shortly after that, and all was well for the rest of the trip. The room was HUGE for hotels. A nice "living space", a comfortable bedroom, and a very nicely sized bathroom. We loved it so much here, we will be staying at the airport instead of downtown on future trips now! Cons: if i was going to complain about anything this trip, the complaints were minimal and clearly not enough to keep me from staying here again. I stayed on the 4th floor, and our ice machine wasn't working on the weekend i was here. our shower (room 405), the door didnt stay closed, and water would get on the floor. The light above the door when you walk in was out. (but there was more than enough other lights in the room) overall, we loved it here and will definitely be back!!!
