The staff at this Marriott saved our trip! My husband and I stayed for 3 days at this Courtyard and had an AirBnB booked for the remaining 7 days to accommodate family flying in for our son's wedding. The morning we were supposed to check out and move to our AirBnB, which had been booked and paid for 6 months in advance, they canceled on us and gave no reason. AirBnB customer service was terrible and suggested we look for other AirBnB accommodations because they couldn't reach the host of the property. I then called downstairs to the front desk of this hotel in tears and spoke to Marissa. She immediately understood the urgency of the situation and searched for 3 rooms to hold for us. Waikiki was very busy and I know that she had to do some quick thinking to accommodate us. She was able to put my mind at ease right away and told me not to worry, that we, along with my 1 year old granddaughter, would have a place to stay. She then also advised the staff at the front desk of the situation so when I called downstairs again, the person who answered knew about everything so I didn't have to explain everything again. Between Suki, Marissa, Victoria, and Kayla, I felt like I was in great hands and everything would be ok. When they found out that one of the rooms was for the bride and groom, they even waived the upgrade fee as a gift. This trip could have been catastrophic. If it wasn't for the Marriott staff here, we could have found ourselves homeless in Hawaii. From the Custodian to the Housekeepers and Front Desk staff, this Marriott consistently went above and beyond. Our family had an amazing experience, the wedding was beautiful, and we are loyal Marriott guests for life. Mahalo to this wonderful group of people. They know how 5 star customer service is done!

Overall Great Stay - Recommend High Floor if Light Sleeper Overall great stay, try to get a high floor on the back if you are a light sleeper. We just stayed a week at the Courtyard Marriott. To parrot other reviews, the staff is fantastic. Larissa, Kia, EJ, Viktoria, Christie, Suki and everyone we ran into were very friendly (the cleaning staff was also very friendly as well). The location is great. Because it is on Kuhio Street, we felt the lower floors will have more city noise. Although I have lived in Chicago on the fourth floor next to a night club, and am used to sleeping with noise, I found Kuhio Street to be more noisy than I wanted on my vacation and asked to be moved from my street side eight floor room to a higher room on the back side. Once I moved, it was great, and I found the views of the mountains really nice. Although we downgraded to a smaller room to get the higher floor, to us it was a great change. Bed was great as well and it is nice to have a balcony. Highly recommend you consider this option over the pricier hotels on the beach (with the resort fees). We chose because it allowed us to get two rooms for our family rather than putting our kids on a sofa bed. Really enjoyed Ginza Won for Korean food, Thai Issan and Dave’s Surfside for Acai bowls. Our favorite upscale restaurant was Tane Vegan Izakaya which had a lot of delicious choices that fooled me even though I eat fish. When mentioning to people who lived in Hawai'i I was told it was one of the best, if not the best, vegan restaurants in the area.

Large Rooms Good Price This Marriott property offers large one bedroom room units at an affordable rate. The King bed/ bedroom with separate living room offers a good amount of space. If you are used to Marriott Timeshares, this type of room will feel comfortable. The room, as described on Marriott’s app, indicated silverware and plates would be available in the room, they were not. The sofa had stains We requested a room change and staff were very hospitable and granted that change. Staff also accommodated a late check out (as is permitted pending Bon Voy elite status tier) without hesitation. If you are a person who does not like a very small shower, make sure the room you reserve has a bathtub with a shower in your room. The ocean side king one bedroom has a tub/shower, but not the island side queen one bedroom units have very very very small showers. The area, Kuhio Drive and Lewers is very busy. Currently all bars and nightclubs in Waikiki close at midnight, so it kind feels like that Meatloaf song…. All revved up and no place to go…. Mahalo to staff for a comfortable stay.

Excellent location! The hotel room as clean, but a little small. We were three people, so we had two double beds. That seems crowded when you are used to a queen sized bed. We had seven nights and they only offered housekeeping every 5 nights, but the lady at the front desk schedule housekeeping for us about midway through our stay. The hotel is not exceptional, but the location is excellent. It is very centrally located in Waikiki.

Centrally located and efficient A great choice if you're looking for a no-frills, non-beachfront hotel centrally located in Waikiki. My room was simple and efficient and the valet crew was excellent- so fast and "on it". The hotel was safe and close to great options for dining (and even the beach)- all within walking distance
