Expected more Postives-great location, friendly staff and room was clean. Opportunities-Even though the staff were friendly, there was never anyone at the front desk and had to wait for both checkin and checkout. The air conditioner was horrible, loud and didn't work half the time. For the price we paid a little disappointed and expected more of the Holiday Inn.

A good night in Minot. This was our final stay on our Road To Nowhere trip. (US-83 from Brownsville Texas to North Dakota Canadian Border). The room was comfortable and more importantly, clean. The location for us was perfect. We left the next day at the Minot Airport and the distance was very close and perfect.

Great stay! My spouse and I were on a road-trip vacation around North Dakota in August 2023 and had the opportunity to stay at this Holiday Inn Express in Minot for on a Sunday night. Altogether, we enjoyed our stay. Our check-in process went smoothly (it turned out that our room was ready before the official check-in time which was awesome). Our suite (#213) was spacious, clean, and comfortable... no problems whatsoever. We got a good night's sleep too. We also appreciated the indoor pool with the hot tub, and breakfast in the morning was quite good! If I ever find myself needing lodging again in Minot, I would certainly consider staying here again. Our experience was a pleasant one!

Good choice in Minot Typical Holiday Inn Express stay. Nice hotel (feels recently updated), clean rooms, good typical breakfast, great location. No concerns. Did not use the pool but it looked decent and was busy. Would definitely stay again.

Worst Holiday Inn Express Is this one! We are a Diamond Elite member of IHG Hotels and the one in Minot, North Dakota is the worst I have stayed in. Upon check in, we were provided zero information on amenities. We went to the room and all seemed ok. Hallways are very tired and dated. When we returned we discovered the air conditioning wasn’t working. We called and managed to change rooms. However we were moved down floor and therefore noisy. Also, the lights In the bathroom by the mirrors are scone designs. One of them had a dirty razor stuck in it. The lights are obviously not wiped down as you should notice this sitting in it. But it gets much worse. We headed down to the pool to cool off after our move. The pool area was extremely hot and filthy. We headed for the pool and when we stepped in , the water was extremely hot. The hot tub was much cooler than the pool. We were concerned if Child jumped in the pool they would be burned. The hot tub was so dirty and full of dirt, we were afraid to use it. We went to the desk to advise of the temperature of the pool. The clerk told us she was going to make a sign to close the pool until it was looked at. The next morning we went downstairs and nothing had been done. We then did some google searching on reviews and two complaints of pool and chemical burns were posted in the last 2 weeks. We mentioned it again to the General Manager, Hannah, and she advised that she was not told of the problem and she would handle it. We thought that was the end of that. On our way out about an hour later we noticed nothing has been done. Not closed and no warnings of high water temperature. For the 3rd time we advised the front desk and we were given a “have a nice day” dismissive response. We went out and when we returned we called down to ask if the pool area was open. She advised the temperature was below legal limit so she wasn’t closing. The pool was at 100 degrees and legal limit is 104. So it’s open and nothing will be done. It might be below legal limit, but still too hot for a child to jump into. Not all kids enter by the steps. They jump in and go. This would have been a disaster should that have happened. Our goal was to try and prevent this from happening to anyone. This also shows that this pools is never cleaned or chemicals not checked. If it was, someone should have noticed the dirty conditions and disgusting temperature. It is irresponsible to not warm guests of the extreme pool temperature and at the very least post a sign. We will never stay in the place again.
