Cheap While the price point is good the quality of rooms and service is way off the mark. The rooms are out of date and the rooms are not what is in the photo. Not good for families or kids. Electric sockets didn't have covers, heater or air didn't work.

Unpleasant stay I stayed in this hotel for one week. The building and the rooms look very old and poorly maintained. The breakfast was served in disposable plates and cups and the food was entirely bought at the supermarket. No freshly baked or cooked products provided. What my husband and I found most unpleasant, however, was the staff, both at the reception and in the dining hall. They were not welcoming, not smiling and did not look happy to speak to the guests. The only positive note was the lovely lady that cleaned our room Monday to Friday. Shame we didn't have the chance to take her name, but she really was kind, communicative, helpful and always had a beautiful smile!

Overnight stay with family Very rundown place, dirty, burn marks in carpet, rusted out sinks and broken toilet. No plug for tub.Windows dirty and a lot of questionable activity at night.Place musty and smelled of urine. Place felt like we were in the centre of drugs and prostitution. Not a place to be with children. Grounds unkept and the overall place was in dire need of repair. Found out one area was used for student rentals. This place should be visited by the health authorities and the city.Pool okay but hot tub out of service.Originally called number on website for reservation as we were meeting family.Found out it was a third party booking in US. $78 a night US, plus a $35 US booking fee, then converted to CAN funds and taxed. Total $150. Total rip off

Should have done more research In town for a wedding, decided to pick a hotel a bit further from the venue to save some money. Should have just gone with the other hotel. Hotel needs some serious TLC; water damage, cracks in walls, soaking wet carpets, run down. Got to our room (1158) and it is one that hasn't been updated. Old mattresses (they were comfy enough, I've slept on worse, and didn't get a back ache), scuffed up furniture, beyond outdated photos, counter tops came up to my hips, patio door didn't lock (it uses a metal pole to keep it "locked"), old cube TV. We checked the mattresses and room, it's clean, no signs of bugs or anything so we decided to just stick it out. We walked past other rooms that were getting cleaned in the morning and it seems like they were updated with newer furnishings, but we got put into the older section. We also booked online for a King bed and got two doubles, so my husband and I slept in seperate beds for the weekend. Breakfast...just walk down the street to Tim Hortons or the 24hr A&W. You'll save yourself some disappointment. Two kinds of cereal, bread, some gross pastry, tea and coffee. Pool...we didn't use it, but it looked like the cleanest and more updated part of the hotel. Hotel is in good distance to the bus stop which was handy for us and easy for Uber to find. Normally I'm super on top of back ground checking hotels, this was a failure and reminds me why I do extensive research. Will never stay here again if I find myself having to be in the area for an event.
