Licensed massage therapist Lindsay Keener has always wanted to help heal people in pain. That's just what she does these days in her studio inside the Sweat Box personal training gym, where Swedish, deep tissue, warm bamboo, Thai, and sports massage are a few of her specialties. One popular modality is her
myofascial release massage, which incorporates sustained pressure on connective tissue and muscles to relieve chronic pain and tension. Her prenatal massage combines well with a reflexology foot treatment to help clients achieve deep relaxation. Lindsay is also constantly learning new techniques to bring to the table, which she adds to her repertoire of
time-honored healing methods.
Candace Lee-Staples dedicates her studio to the holistic practice of massage, embracing its therapeutic and relaxation-inducing benefits by offering an assortment of modalities. She and her team of therapists host consultations with each client beforehand, gathering details to plan personalized sessions. With the Swedish modality, they'll gently relieve pent-up stress and induce an inexplicable fondness for lingonberries, while targeting chronic back pains during deep-tissue and myofascial massages. They also offer sole-soothing reflexology treatments designed to cultivate total-body wellness.
With its tranquil tones and modern accents, Sweetwater Salon & Day Spa is the perfect place for clients to relax. The beauty team's services are relaxing and extensive. The stylists offer chic cuts, highlights, and perms, and nail technicians pamper digits with mani-pedis. In addition, massage therapists assuage aches and pains with soothing strokes. Sweetwater also provides clients with White Blitz whitening treatments to brighten smiles and FIT Bodywraps to help increase blood flow, rid toxins and slim physiques.
It isn't every day that a licensed massage therapist gets to work during a rock concert. Jasmine McKenzie had just that opportunity when she gave much-needed kneads to performing artists and crew members at the Rock on the Range music festival. She's also accustomed to the refined ambiance at the Scioto Country Club, where she previously practiced techniques ranging from deep-tissue and hot-stone massage to neuromuscular therapy and pregnancy massage.
Between her experience and education—a bachelor's degree in health and wellness and training at the Cleveland Institute of Medical Massage—Jasmine's talents have brought her many unique client experiences. Now at her own practice, she continues to wield her massage talents against ailments such as back pain and injuries caused by athletic exertion or fist bumps that have gone horribly wrong.
With more than 10 years of experience healing bodies, the massage therapist at Body for Life Massage tailors custom massages to clients' specific needs. Tapping into massage's potential to treat existing ailments and prevent future health problems, the therapist can help guests find relief from issues such as migraines and fibromyalgia.
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
We offer acupuncture and massage, and our practitioner makes us stand out amongst the rest.
She is a licensed Acupuncturist and also received her MD in China. She has successfully treated thousands of patients and has developed additional expertise with infertility and reproductive issues.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
Her passion and drive to help people be their best, and feel their best.
What do you love most about your job?
When I'm with a fertility patient from start to finish; Speaking with her for the first time about her body and goals, then hearing good news about a positive pregnancy test, and treating her throughout her pregnancy. Then finally, the day when she comes back to visit with her beautiful child.
What is the best reaction you've ever gotten from a customer?
I suppose anytime a patient and I are laughing about something is the best 'reaction'. Most people come in for medical issues, and our office can be quite serious at times, so anytime we get to talking and laughing means we have gotten close. We like to say, "Come as patients, leave as friends".
