The second annual "Spokane's Got Talent" showcases the best local musicians, dancers, comedians, magicians, dog groomers, and other odd-job entertainers in the city. Each of the 20 performers was voted a finalist from more than 200 auditions to participate in the eclectic competition. The acts will be judged by local celebrities Holly Starr (singer/songwriter), Luke Baumgarten (Inlander arts and culture editor), Genesis Vernon (Insyders Music), that guy you always see at the grocery store, and Kristen Kurtis (KZZU and Spokane?s River). Just like important political elections, the outcome is decided by four judges, with everyone else acting as a fifth judge, voting for their favorite via SMS text message. With their top talents in tow, contestants compete for an all-expenses-paid trip to the region's tryouts for America's Got Talent. A portion of the proceeds goes to the T. Kilduff Cancer Foundation.
