Backed by more than 35 years of dance experience, Kick It Out! Dance Studio director Denise Krumm leads her team of instructors in coaching students from kindergarten through adulthood in dance styles such as pom, jazz, hip-hop, and lyrical. Classes run the gamut from casual lessons to achievement-centered classes that result in travel to various Michigan competitions. In addition to more traditional dance forms, the studio also offers Zumba’s dance-party workouts, which get bodies moving with Latin-inspired moves that are more fun than tangoing with a treadmill.
Ever since her university days, Shelley Thomas's competitive dancing skills and passion have afforded her a multitude of opportunities in the world of dance. Shelley two-steps kids and adults through tap, ballet, and jazz fundamentals during group, private, and semiprivate lessons at her Platinum Dance Academy. Shelley also trains adults in ballroom and Latin, incorporates salsa and belly-dance moves into Zumba fitness sessions, and teaches couples wedding dance routines that don't involve pirouetting into the cake. Alternatively, kids can celebrate birthdays with dance lessons from the academy's resident ballerina princess or cowgirl.
