  • Wet Your Pants Comedy Film Festival
The Wet Your Pants Comedy Film Festival strives to induce every reaction from a giggle to a guffaw during its one-day film spree. The festival screens comedic films from across the globe, as well as some that feature cast or crew members from Indiana. Each year, approximately 30 full-length films, shorts, and life-size flipbooks dance across the eager retinas of the audience. The inspiration for the festival, Steve Pearce, was a National Kidney Foundation of Indiana supporter and film lover who passed away from kidney disease in 2009. His family carries on his mission to raise awareness for the disease by appropriating the funds from the festival to NKFI. The NKFI aims to prevent kidney and urinary-tract diseases, improve the well-being of people affected by these diseases, and increase the availability of transplant-ready organs. Together, the film festival and NKFI plan to alleviate these needs, one kidney at a time.

  • Noble Roman’s Take-n-Bake P’za - Avon
Pizza is available when and how you like it at Noble Roman’s Take-n-Bake PZA. Each of the shop's take-and-bake pizzas is hand-made fresh-to-order, starting from the crust up. First, customers choose between classic, gluten-free, super-thin, and deep-dish crusts. From there, they choose one of three sauces—pizza, barbecue, or parmesan white—and pick from more than 20 cheese and toppings options, including pepperoni, olives, artichokes, and pineapple. Those who want to satisfy a pizza craving even quicker can opt for one of the house's favorite combinations such as chicken alfredo pizza or barbecue chicken pizza. Once the pizza has been freshly assembled, customers can take it home and pop it in the oven or store it in their refrigerator until they're ready to bake. That ensures that, when you're ready to eat, your pizza will be piping hot and will taste much fresher than it would have if it had been sitting in or on top of a delivery driver's car. And, to round out meals, Noble Roman's also sells a range of take-and-bake extras such as stromboli, hot ham and cheese, and Italian roast beef sandwiches, along with lasagna, breadsticks, and cookie dough.

  • Taste of Indy
A pinch of Mediterranean. Equal parts Asian and Greek. A dash of soul for good measure. Though its recipe is far from exact, the Taste of Indy brings a spread of culinary traditions into one single celebration of food. The festival's edible offerings come from more than 30 of the city's most unique restaurants, giving visitors a chance to taste the city without licking the state capitol building. The idea is to promote good food and healthy living, something that the over 18,000 attendees from 2014 can attest to. As a distraction from the non-stop munching, attendees can catch live, local artists playing everything from R&B to reggae, watch chefs share their tricks during interactive demonstrations, and visit family-friendly attractions that keep even the youngest of visitors entertained.
