After attending New York University's College of Dentistry, Dr. Michael Riccobene relocated to Selma, North Carolina where, in 2000, he founded the first Riccobene Associates Family Dentistry office. Since then, Dr. Riccobene has expanded his practice to seven other locations, with the newest office opened recently in Apex. To keep up with the demands of each office, Dr. Riccobene works alongside 22 other dentists, including specialists in oral surgery, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, whom he vets for their chairside manner as well as their dental experience: they must be patient, have a good sense of humor, and be as good at explaining procedures as they are at performing them.
Once on staff, each dentist aims to make every visit—from preventative exams to root canals and Invisalign fittings—comfortable and fear-free for the client. Riccobene's team also eases nerves by keeping wait times short, dispensing coffee from Starbucks machines in the lobby, and hanging a satellite TV in view of each treatment chair. Along with being an advocate for patients, Dr. Riccobene gives back to his community through various charitable organizations and sponsorships while participating in business expos.
Most people hate going to the dentist. That's why Dr. Lindsey Willams and her staff at Dental Oasis of Clayton work hard to make every patient feel comfortable. It starts with the look and feel of the office, and the friendly staff who make sure to call each and every patient by name instead of barcode number. Beverages are offered to those waiting for an appointment to begin, and, to further patient comfort, they offer complimentary massage treatments and Netflix and Pandora access during appointments. Dental Oasis offers everything from general services such as fillings and cleanings to restorative procedures such as root canals, crowns, and short-term braces.
Flat screen televisions, an elegant fountain, and cushioned chairs: this décor doesn’t grace an exclusive spa, but rather the welcoming confines of Atlantic Family Dental’s Raleigh and Garner offices. In each, a trio of compassionate dentists performs pediatric, cosmetic, and restorative procedures ranging from placing dental implants to performing annual cleanings and tooth pageants. No matter what the treatment, the staff puts patient care first, offering four kinds of sedation dentistry to alleviate apprehension and communicating in English and Spanish to better serve clients.
Dr. Hamid Rouhani of Bright Smiles Family Dentistry knows so much about teeth that he teaches other dentists at the University of North Carolina. But that doesn’t mean he has stopped learning. A consummate student, he continually renews his skills and techniques at the Dawson Academy, soaking up solutions for TMJ, misaligned teeth, and cosmetic concerns. Even patients with damaged teeth—or no teeth at all—can renew their smiles, thanks to his advanced veneer and dental-implant services.
Dr. Brian Kelleher and his dedicated staff provide general, cosmetic, and surgical dentistry in a relaxing environment. He furthers fosters patients’ ease by employing efficient technology, including digital x-rays, which provide quick readouts while exposing recipients to 80% less radiation than standard scans. He also employs noninvasive ViziLite screenings to look for early signs of oral cancer.
While Dr. Kelleher is skilled in identifying and treating everyday issues and more serious concerns, he's also passionate about perfecting smiles to boost his patients' confidence. He can fit teeth with porcelain Lumineers to correct conditions ranging from discoloration to chips and gaps. In-office teeth-whitening treatments provide an alternate means of erasing enamel stains.
iPads. Coffee. Neck pillows and blankets. These are all amenities typically found in a day spa, and they are just a few of the ways Dr. Maya V. Martin makes coming to the dentist feel like a luxury, not a chore. From the moment clients step into the office, the staff makes every effort possible to make them feel comfortable and at ease. Patients can relax knowing that the dental facility meets and surpasses all CDC and OSHA standards and is equipped with technology including a digital x-ray machine and intraoral cameras. For those who still have a few butterflies in their stomachs prior to a procedure, Village Dental offers sedation, nitrous oxide, and the option to have somebody stand in the room and wave their arms frantically as a distraction.
