Glass doors line two lofted floors at The Lesson Factory's headquarters, barely able to contain the harmonies held within. In training rooms throughout the facility, instructors—some with degrees as high as the graduate level—guide aspiring musicians of all ages toward their music-making goals with programs geared to individualized learning. Students choose from rock and classical instruments, learning how to form chords on a guitar, keep steady rhythms on drums, or nobly play violin on a sinking boat. Thanks to a steady schedule of blues jams for adults and recitals for kids, all budding musicians get the chance to show off their skills to an audience on a regular basis.
At Eugene Piano Academy, students from preschool age to adulthood learn new musical abilities or polish rusty skills with one-on-one guidance, group lessons, and summer camps led by university-trained instructors. Director Susane Reis and a staff of eminently qualified music teachers draw from years of performance, academic study, and teaching to help students harness their creative energies and build strong musical reading fundamentals and playing techniques.
Learning a song on the ukulele. Buying a bass amp for a live show. Playing a newly learned song at a recital. The staffers at Music Masters welcome all forms of musical expression in their shop’s familial atmosphere. There, customers can indulge in a variety of tune-related activities, from gleaning the techniques needed to play a new instrument to purchasing guitar strings.
