Parking instructions are not clear. I suggest calling them ahead of time, so you're not confused when you arrive. Be there the hour early like they suggest. Line to board gets really long, so you might not be able to sit where you want if you delay getting to the line. I did not arrive early, which was stressful but still worked out. I sat on the top level in the row facing the back of the boat on the way to Catalina. Highly recommend for a beautiful view and sealife sightings. Long hair girlies: bring a hair tie/clip. We sat inside on the way back to Newport for warmth and a nap. I haven't been on the other Catalina ferries to compare, but I would definitely take Catalina Flyer again.
