Gelish polish comes in a full spread of colors, just like traditional varieties of polish. It differentiates itself by how long it lasts—up to three weeks. After curing for 30 seconds under an LED light or two minutes under a UV light, the color adheres to nails without chipping or peeling.

Nail artist Chanda Jenkins takes it literally when her clients ask her to make them look like a million bucks. Using natural and acrylic nails as her canvases, Chanda has spent the past decade creating three-dimensional and multicolored art—including designs that mimic US dollar bills. When she isn’t transforming faux nails into facsimiles of currency, Chanda soothes feet during pedicures that include a foot mask and hot paraffin wax. She’s also added Gelish manicures to her repertoire, using a polish resilient enough to last for up to three weeks spent furiously clawing at a scratching post. She works out of A Lil Me Time Salon.
