AcuBalance Wellness Center

AcuBalance Wellness Center is the longtime dream of friends and college mates Ausra Januseviciute and Vera Kulezic. While interning together, the two friends learned they shared the same passion not only for acupuncture, but also for other facets of holistic healing and Eastern philosophy. The central tenet of this philosophy, according to Ausra, is to "discover the root cause" of ailments rather than adhering to the Western practice of soothing away symptoms by ingesting medicine or Ella Fitzgerald's throw pillows.

Each client undergoes a thorough consultation, which the practitioner uses to develop an individualized treatment plan. These treatments are designed to combat maladies ranging from chronic headaches and digestive issues to anxiety and depression. Sessions take place either in private rooms filled with soothing music and aromatic incense, or in the main treatment room, which re-creates the community acupuncture sessions in China with five reclining chairs.
